Background

Ben is a guitarist and bass player who studied BA Hons Popular Music at Leeds Conservatoire. Alongside teaching he is also an active gigging musicians in an originals bands who have played festivals such as Y Not?, Sound City and Dot to Dot. An addition to festival performances his projects have received radio play with BBC introducing and been signed to independent record labels.

In the classroom Ben combines a knowledge of performance technique, music theory, song writing technique and up to date industry knowledge with a genuine passion for teaching and desire to help his students reach their own playing ambitions.
