Background

Phil has played the guitar for more than 15 years and is an accomplished performer, having appeared in venues across the UK and Europe. He has proven able to successfully combine a busy playing career with his teaching commitments at the Northern Music Academy, and is always in demand to play with various bands and other performers.

Besides one-to-one teaching, Phil also runs annual workshops in his native Oxford, as well as group and band lessons concentrating on composition, performance and recording.

Phil is an ensembles tutor for the advanced group pop group at Leeds College of Music’s Saturday Morning Music School.
